Symbolic play is a type of game in which children can imitate situations and phrases that they see and hear from their real environment . In this way the imagination is developed, mental representations are created and socialization and language development are promoted.
It is an activity in which the child continually goes from the real to the imaginary.
To stimulate symbolic play, we can play with our little ones by getting involved in their fantasy, we can facilitate symbolic play with appropriate toys and we can even create new situations and characters with which to expand the possibilities. Our little one is growing! Long live the Symbolic Game!
