Some aspects must be taken into account when teaching and working on this routine:

*Everything must have its place.
* The way to create the habit is to start very little ones with us, the adults, to help.
* It is a good time to share with the family and even to count the toys that may no longer fulfill their functions, due to having been damaged, for example.
* It is important to respect the evolutionary level of the little ones. They will learn step by step.
* It is necessary to direct the task with basic, structured instructions one at a time, that is, "now place the dolls in their basket and put it on their shelf", etc...
* It can be fun to have a space, a drawer, a box, etc. for items that have been lost or misplaced from their central toy. This way nothing is "lost", even if it is left loose.
* Once they understand this routine, it is very motivating to ask them to help us pick up other things from the house, like some magazines, their clothes, etc...
